PROFESSOR ANA LUIZA NOBRE WILL LECTURE AT BROWN AND COLUMBIA

Professor Ana Luiza Nobre will be at Columbia University next April 8TH discussing photo albums of the urban infrastructure of Rio de Janeiro, produced between the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. The seminar, entitled "Global Latin America" is organized by Professors Alexander Alberro and Graciela Montaldo.

A few days earlier, Professor Nobre will participate in a roundtable on Rio de Janeiro at Brown University, in the Congress of Brasa / Brazilian Studies Association (whose next edition in 2018 will be held at PUC-Rio). The roundtalbe will accompany a photo exhibition of the Instituto Moreira Salles collection in the Watson Institute at the same university, and the launching of books "Rio" (IMS/Steidl), with city images produced at a distance of a century by photographers Marc Ferrez and Robert Polidori.
