RESEARCH ON THE 2016 OLYMPICS WINS AWARD
The student, José Luis Osorio, recipient of a PIBIC fellowship and currently attending the 8th term of the Undergraduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism, received a Honorable Mention in the "Outstanding Junior Researcher" award with the work "Olympic Games and Urban Transformations in Rio de Janeiro", coordinated by Prof. Ana Luiza Nobre and presented at the XXIII Junior Researcher Seminar in PUC-Rio, held in August. The research - praised for the second year in PIBIC award - records and tracks the recent events that keep direct or indirect relationships with mega events hosted by the city through a timeline started in October 2009, when the city of Rio de Janeiro It was announced host the Olympic Games, and will continue until the end of 2016.
