BOOK LAUNCH "RETHINKING SOCIAL HOUSING"
Architects Luiz Carlos Toledo, Petar Vrcibradic and Veronica Natividade (faculty in CAU PUC-Rio) presented today, March 25th, in the RDC auditorium the book "Rethinking social housing", which presents innovative proposals for affordable housing as alternatives to 'Minha Casa Minha Vida' program.
The authors proposed a number of architectural types, which explore a new way to design and build using a contemporary vocabulary that replaces the traditional construction of an open assembly process to the participation of workers involved in their planning and construction processes, in the industrialization of their components for the production of materials used in them and also to the population to which they refer.
