Architect with a master’s and doctorate in Urbanism from PROURB-UFRJ. He was a professor and coordinator of the Urbanism Area at the Center for Architecture and Arts at Universidade Santa Úrsula, and a professor of Urbanism and Landscape Architecture at FAU-UFRJ. He coordinated the “Espaços do Rio” course at IAB-RJ for several years and is also an urbanism consultant.

His main professional areas are urbanism and heritage. He has worked at FUNDREM – Foundation for the Development of the Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro, at the Subprefeitura do Centro e II A.R., in the Guanabara Bay Depollution Plan – PDBG, at the Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, and at INEPAC – Institute of Cultural Heritage of the State of Rio de Janeiro, where he coordinated the Lapa Cultural District, a project for the recovery of that area.
