Digital Fabrication Laboratory
The Digital Fabrication Laboratory is a study, work, and production environment that can be utilized by students of the course. The space is equipped with laptops with all the necessary programs for the development of projects carried out in the course, a 3D printer, plotter, virtual reality glasses, and the Professor Alfredo Britto Librar with books on Architecture, Urbanism, and related subjects.
Location: room L128 of the Cardeal Leme Building.
The Prusa 3D printer is a model-making tool from the Department of Architecture and Urbanism of PUC-RIO, available for free and exclusive use by students of the course. To use the printer, it is necessary to have knowledge of some 3D production software, such as SketchUp, Rhinoceros, Revit, etc. The file must be produced and finalized following some recommendations (attach step-by-step file) and previously evaluated together with the teaching assistant.
