Verônica Rodrigues

In Memorian

Prof. Verônica (1957/2012) graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Bennett Methodist Institute (1983) and obtained a master’s degree in Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (2006). She served as a consultant for the creation of the Architecture course in 2001 and had been a professor at the University since 2002.

Her father, architect Sergio Rodrigues, with whom she was a partner in the Sergio Rodrigues Design and Furniture studio, told the PUC Journal that Verônica had shown interest in architecture since childhood, frequented his design store, and helped him arrange the furniture on the balcony of the apartment where they lived. She said she liked living in a house different from the others.

Her sweetness, competence, and friendship were foundational traits in the construction of the Architecture and Urbanism course at PUC-Rio.
