They hold a bachelor’s degree in History from the Federal Fluminense University (1971) and another bachelor’s degree in History from the Federal Fluminense University (1971) and is a Livre-Docente in Brazilian History from the State University of Rio de Janeiro. Currently, they are an associate professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and an adjunct professor at the State University of Rio de Janeiro. They have experience in the field of History, with emphasis on Brazilian History, mainly working on the following themes: Rio de Janeiro, urban culture, modernity, modern culture, and cities.
