The LObE-HAB research group proposes to discuss the production of inhabited space – space occupied, appropriated and interpreted by its users – from three dimensions: private, public and collective. Research carried out on inhabited space presents a methodological approach that brings together both the observation of interferences, experiences and interventions carried out in the space, as well as the relationships between built forms, social groups and spaces.
The LObE-HAB research group develops research that seeks, among others, to encourage reflection on methods and data that must be considered for the development of projects on an architectural and urban scale, contributing strongly to the construction of knowledge and practices in the field projectual. The research group presents collaborations with researchers from the Institut d’Urbanisme et Géographie Alpine (Université de Grenoble Alpes), PROURB (FAU-UFRJ), ETSAB UPC (Barcelona).
