What is Continuing Education?
Any course taken after completing an undergraduate degree is generally categorized as a postgraduate course, but it's important to highlight nuances within this educational spectrum.
Short and medium-duration free courses are recommended for those seeking professional training and updates in specific areas of knowledge. Developed by university professors with expertise both in the market and in academia, these courses provide certificates of participation upon completion, although they do not have official recognition from the MEC.
Lato sensu postgraduate programs include specialization courses, such as MBAs (Master of Business Administration). With a minimum workload of 360 hours, these courses issue certificates, not diplomas. They are accessible to candidates with higher education degrees, provided they meet the criteria established by the educational institutions.
The Central Coordination of Continuing Education (CCEC) at PUC-Rio is the body responsible for managing the university's continuing education activities, offering Professional Master's degrees, Specializations, and Free Courses through PUC-Rio's Departments.
