Pesquisa _ Socio-climatic vulnerability, adaptation of cities to climate change and urban resilience.
This research aims to contribute with methodological and technical solutions in the areas of urban planning and projects to address the challenges demanded by populations and public managers in the context of the socio-environmental crisis and climate change – especially regarding the context of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean – by analyzing the situation and searching for solutions to the challenges of Brazilian cities. The research is unfolded into the research on project approaches to reduce the socio-climatic vulnerability of urban systems, in the social and physical-territorial areas, seeking solutions to reinforce the sustainability of buildings and cities that must become progressively safer and healthier.
The research is developed within the scope of the Laboratory of Urbanism (U.Lab) and the Postgraduate Program in Architecture (PPGArq) of PUC-Rio.
